Solar Ash is the second game from Heart Machine, the studio lead by director Alx Preston and the creators of the award winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter.
Players will find a surreal, vivid and highly stylized world filled with wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters.
“Solar Ash is Heart Machine’s vision of the adventure platformer,” Preston said during the video. “The giant spaces, the feel of movement, the flow of combat, and the high stakes battles atop enormous beasts all come together to bring players something we think is incredibly unique, and more importantly, fun.”
Solar Ash is heading to PlayStation 4, PS5 and the Epic Games Store later this year. The Solar Ash gameplay trailer features footage captured on PS5, and reveals an expansive setting starring Rei, a Voidrunner on a mission to save her planet from a black hole that devours worlds. You'll be skating, climbing, and grinding your way through what looks like a pretty big map.
